Kerry Phillips’ Whatsits Emporium & Library of Things

Part of Susan Caraballo’s expansive climate-focused immersive arts experience, Prelude to 2100, at the Deering Estate.

I created the thrift-type store art installation & library oftThings, where people could purchase things using the project’s currency created by artist Carrie Sieh or presumably check things out to borrow and use. All of the materials and objects collected for the project (diverted from landfills) were given new life and rehomed instead of being thoughtlessly discarded.

For the theater portion I played myself in the future as I would be in the timeline of the project’s narrative in the year 2050.
